Exmoor Owl and Hawk Centre, Allerford, Nr Porlock, Somerset

Situated in the lovely Exmoor National Park, Exmoor Falconry have a special collection of tame and friendly animals and birds of prey in our Visitor Attraction, together with other outdoor activities where you can participate in a falconry experience day or a river trail hawk walk, excellent horse riding over Exmoor and where you can stay if you wish to in our comfortable, quality bed and breakfast near to Porlock in the Vale of Porlock in Somerset.

Falconry Activities

At Exmoor Falconry we have a large collection of birds of prey, including owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles, many are flown daily during our flying displays at the Centre, and on 'Experience Days', or up our river trail with a Harris Hawk.

Horse Riding

Where you can ride as far as you can see! For exciting horse riding breaks in the Exmoor National Park with our horses over National Trust estates or we welcome you bringing your own horse and stay at our bed and breakfast in the 15th century grade II listed farm house.

Visitor Attraction and Tea Garden

Your holiday to Exmoor can only be complete after you have visited Exmoor Falconry and Animal Farm! A unique visitor attraction within the Exmoor National Park where the animals come out to meet you, providing much fun and interaction at every level. You can handle, marvel, discover and even fly the birds for charity. Enjoy the freshly prepared food in a delightful garden setting with home grown and locally sourced produce including delicious Somerset cream teas and home made cakes. There is indoor seating available in our charming farmhouse lounge.

Animal Activities

Discover and get to know the animals through our unique animal activities, enjoying the experience of a close encounter and gaining knowledge and a understanding of their behaviour in their natural environment. We have Alpaca walks and miniature Shetland pony rides for small and not so small children and adults.
