Longdown Activity Farm

A big welcome to our family run farm. Come along and join in with a schedule of fun throughout the day that includes bottle-feeding kid goats and calves, feeding ducks and baby animal encounter where you can cuddle the baby rabbits, guinea pigs, chicks or maybe even a piglet. Meet our gorgeous Kune Kune pigs and our playful Pygmy Goats. Children will love their antics.

Whatever the weather, there is lots of family farmyard fun to be had. As always, the emphasis is on “hands-on activities”. This means there will be ample opportunity to touch, hold and feed our animals.

There are plenty more friendly farm animals to meet including Billy the Shire horse - our gentle giant. Lots of fantastic farmyard buildings to explore and loads of indoor and outdoor play areas for the children to run off all that energy! Brilliant fun!

Come and meet our very own celebrity – Kerry the Friesian cow. She appeared in the PG Tips television advert screened over the Christmas and New Year period with Johnny Vegas and Monkey. She also appeared in the Heinz soup television advert during 2007 and with Nick Knowles in a Real Rescues programme. What a star!

Billy the Shire horse is looking forward to meeting all his old friends again – and to making new ones too! As well as Billy, there are lots of other animals to meet including woolly alpacas, rabbits, sheep, cows and ducks.

If the weather is bad – there are plenty of undercover play areas for the children to let off steam. The Farm has a fabulous soft play area, lots of trampolines, a huge straw barn or the quieter Brio and sand pit area. Whatever the weather – there’s always something to do.

The Longdown Farm shop

The Longdown Farm shop, situated at the entrance to the Farm, is stocked with a wide range of delicious local produce. Call in for tasty meat, sausages, vegetables, bread, dairy products, cakes, and so much more.

There is no charge to visit the Longdown Farm Shop. It is open to visitors and non-visitors to the Activity Farm.

Longdown Activity Farm and Longdown Farm Shop are just off the A35 between Lyndhurst and Southampton.
