Hiltingbury Extravaganza - Chandlers Ford
The annual Hiltingbury Extravaganza was at the Recreation Ground, Chandlers Ford, Hampshire, on Sunday 20th September 2009 between 12.00 to 5.00pm.
This Hiltingbury Community Association, organised event is always a great hit here in Chandler's Ford and was the ninth Hiltingbury Extravaganza, to be held.
Each year this event just gets better.
There were more stalls than on previous events and hundreds of people turned out for the biggest local event to be held in Chandlers Ford.
This was also the first Extravaganza that the brand new community centre was open for view to the general public known as, 'The Hilts', which will become a focal point for many local events in the future.
After ten years of planning the dream has now become a reality.
Even the library bus turned out and many other local organisations made the event a great success.
One of this years attractions was a bird of prey named Storm showing off his flying ability and seemed to be loving the attention he was receiving.
This very clever bird flew between two lines of nervous people in a human made tunnel with considerable ease.
The gap was not much more than his wingspan!
There was also music to entertain the crowds from a local band, Thornden Community Wind Band, helping to make the day go with swing.

Our thanks to everyone who was envolved in putting this years event together. See you there next year!
