Lakeside Country Park
Lakeside Country Park at Eastleigh, Hampshire is only a few minuets away from Chandlers Ford by car or bike and includes the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway. It is a local open space where you can relax and unwind by a lovely lake.
The park has 60 acres of lakes, wet meadow and woodland and is located between the towns of Eastleigh and Southampton. They used to be gravel works but have now been made into a place of beauty and offer the ideal day out for all the family. If your are interested in watching our feathered friends and have a keen eye, this Country Park has a range of birds, insects and small mammals as well as the occasional fox and deer.
Take the dog and enjoy a walk around on the designated paw trail or why not stop and have lunch at one of the picnic sites provided, take part in one of one of a range of activities that are available (Check out the Eastleigh Council website and type in Lakeside for what is available).
Relax with a days fishing, or a fun ride on the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway, or just sit back and watch the world go by...

Watersports
Various watersports such as canoeing, model boating, windsurfing and dinghy sailing are available to groups, not individuals.
